National pilot projects

Zukunftsbau GmbH has implemented pilot projects for many years to further the development of vocational training.  A selection of national pilot projects, both past and present:
  • Online Certification for Vocational Education and Training (2008-2009)

The project aims to achieve the following results:
The training profiles for four vocational fields (geriatric nurse, business-man/woman in office communication and delivery service driver) are described in terms of learning outcomes (knowledge, skills and competences) and organised in modular and competence-oriented learning outcome units ( “vocational compe-tence standards”). Reference to relevant national training regulations and to the European Qualifications Framework secures feasibility of certification.

A web-based documentation system ensures that learning outcomes realized in different learning processes and pathways are recorded, validated and formulated into coherent and transparent standards.

  • AlphaZ - literacy, numeracy and occupation oriented basic education (2007-2011)

AlphaZ is aimed at developing a model which can be taken up nationwide for combining basic education, qualification and employment for adults. The target groups catered for are adult illiterates, adults with basic knowledge in literacy and numeracy, and functional adult illiterates.

In order to increase the employability of those concerned, AlphaZ views basic education for adults from the very beginning as a combination of education and employment. The regional employment agencies are incorporated in this process.
